Over the past year and a half, we at Gallery Clarendon have had the privilege of being part of the Clarendon community in North Arlington, thanks to Regency/Market Common, who allowed our artists to occupy the space at 2800 Clarendon Blvd as a popup.  As of the end of February 2020, our tenure came to a close, as the space was leased. We hope to find a new home within North Arlington as soon as possible; until that time we hope you visit us at our Crystal City location, Gallery Underground, in the Crystal City shops. Gallery Underground

In May of 2018, with a solely volunteer effort, the Arlington Artists Alliance turned the empty storefront on the corner of Clarendon Blvd and N. Fillmore into a gallery and artist studios for 50+ local Arlington artists.  The positive feedback we received from the community was heartwarming and overwhelming.  Our official grand opening reception drew over 700 attendees. Our monthly second Friday receptions averaged over 150+ visitors.  We were happy to host Clarendon Community meetings, a wide variety of art education and instructional classes, and 2 national juried shows.  Thanks to the hard work of the Arlington Artists Alliance member base, distinction by our local press, and the support and patronage of greater Arlington, Gallery Clarendon was recognized as the Best Place to Buy Local Art by Arlington Magazine.

Our success was helped in no small part by support from our neighbors.  In addition to Regency/Market Common, we have been supported by Sotheby’s, Northwest Federal Credit Union, Circa, CAVA, Le Pain Quotidien, Heritage Brew Pub, Whitlows on Wilson, Pamplona, Don Titos, Bronx Pizza, Delhi Club and Orvis – all of these wonderful organizations supported us during our tenure in some capacity.

It was a wonderful experience for the artists, and we thank each and every one of you who visited our gallery and studios.  Whether it’s Gallery Clarendon, Gallery Underground, or one of our partner venues, we’re a motivated cadre of local artists always seeking space to showcase our talents and share our love of art with the community, and we hope to see you in North Arlington again soon.

Regards,

Arlington Artists Alliance
