Black and White” July 8 – August 4, 2019, opening reception Friday July 12 5-PM. “Black and White” is a group show with 20 artists who have interpreted their images without color. NO black paint was used. The black was made by mixing two colors, such as blue and brown; white was added for shades of gray. “This dynamic expression made us examine every day scenes in a unique way,” says Jane Coonce, who conceived of the exhibit.
Overlook Gallery: Acrylic works by Matthew Miller August 4 – Sept. 6, Opening reception Friday August 9 5-7PM.
Beautiful acrylic works of Italy. Says Miller of his work: “I strive to capture the timeless beauty of the picturesque cityscapes that I find in my travels. These man-made landscapes come alive as light washes down the textured facades, the water ways, and the rolling hills. I am excited to re-create the canals, gardens, churches, and belvederes of Italy.
